What am I doing?/Introduction

The name Bread for Birds originated from my webcomic Watcher's War, I thought it would make an interesting and memorable domain name if ever Watcher's War got it's own website. For now it makes a good blog title.
This blog is going to serve several purposes. One, to keep me writing. Two, to bitch about all that is wrong in the manga, comic, novel and writing worlds. Three to applaud all that is right in the manga, comic, novel and writing worlds. Four, I don't know what purpose four will be so I will leave it open ended. Numbers two and three will be done mostly through Top Ten Lists and the like, covering topics such as "The Top Ten Worst Literary Classics They Made Us Read in High School (And What Should Replace Them)," "10 Shojo Manga That Don't Suck," and "What Makes a Webcomic Sink or Swim."
I also plan to do reviews of webcomics and manga. All of this will be done in such a way that I will back up what I'm saying; if I say a comic sucks I'll let you know why.
What gives me the right to review and critique? Because I am the audience, the reader, and the consumer, and I am not alone in my opinion of such and such a work. That is not to say I speak for the majority and it may be that I will actually go against popular opinion.
I critique because I care, from bad plot, bad characters, to bad world building, nothing is more frustrating than to see a good piece of writing go straight into the toilet.
But there has to be a balance to all of this bickering. So for every negative list I make, I would also like to create a positive one. Unfortunatly there's a lot more crap than there is gold in this world.
So in the name of pen and key board I present to you Bread for Birds: a blog about all things written and read.
